STUDENT GUIDELINES

Standard protocols and Guidelines for the students given by the higher authority.

FOLLOWING ACTIVITIES SHALL BE DEEMED AS ACT OF INDISCIPLINE

  • Violent, indecent, disorderly, threatening or offensive behavior or language and action likely to cause injury or impair safety on this premise.
  • Consuming drugs, alcohol and any other activity in the campus which is constructed as a societal offence at large.

PENALTIES FOR MAJOR DISCIPLINARY VIOLATION

When violation is considered major by the competent authority, the following penalties may be imposed for this.

  • Suspension/debarment from the institution/hostel where the student will be declared “Persona-Non-Grata” and will be debarred from entering the premises, facilities and from attending the classes or
  • Permanent expulsion from the institution or
  • The defaulter may be barred from taking an examination or examination of one year or more than one year.
  • Any other course of action which may be reasonable in the circumstances.

GENERAL CODE OF CONDUCT

  • Classes start from 9:30 am to 2:15 pm on all the 5 Days of the week (Monday to Friday). Students are advised to come to the institution by 9:25 am to attend classes. As per the University rules 75% attendance is mandatory to appear in semester End Examination.
  • All bonafide students must have an Identity Card and Library Cards. They are expected to carry the Cards with them and required to produce it on demand by Teachers/Principal/Librarian or College authority.
  • Students must adhere to the Dress code of the institutions.
  • Use of Mobile phone in the class room is strictly prohibited.
  • Students are mandatory to attend EU service.
  • Students can avail Library books at the prescribed library hours using their ID card.
  • Parents/Guardians should contact the College authorities on regular basis to check the attendance and progress of their ward (s).
  • All College dues are to be cleared regularly and before selection/promotion examination.
  • Fee once paid shall not be refundable.
  • A student seeking transfer after admission has to pay the whole semester tuition fees of the academic calendar.
  • No transfer certificate will be issued without clearing the whole semester tuition fees.
  • After taking admission in College of Arts and Technology, every student shall abide by the rules and regulations of the College.
  • “Ragging” in any form is unlawful and is strictly prohibited. Anti-Ragging Committee in the College is formed under the directive of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India through the Nagaland University.
