At the under-graduate level, the department offers both General and Honours basing on the syllabus given by Nagaland University. The curriculum makes it possible for students to have comprehensive as well as in depth knowledge in history through interactive discussions, writing assignments, fieldwork, and semester exams. It also encourages the students to share their knowledge of history so as to promote a better understanding of human experiences and the events that took place in yesteryear.
