Our Story

College of Arts and Technology, Nerhe Phezha, previously named as Mountain View Christian College was established in the year 1991 and was granted affiliation by North Eastern Hill University in 1993. With the establishment of the Nagaland University, it was affiliated to Nagaland University since then.

The college was previously located at Keyeka, BSF Camp, which was 15 minutes drive from Main Town, KOHIMA.

The educational Visionary Forum, Nerhe Phezha took over the management of the Mountain View Christian College on 28th November 2018. The Forum with its various aims and objectives and among one of which is to see the welfare of the students and faculty and that Mountain View Christian College would stand by its motto ‘Gateway to the World Service’.

The Educational Visionary Forum, Nerhe Phezha would like to bring to your kind attention that for the general service of the community, the Mountain View Christian College now rechristened as “College of Arts and Technology” vide Government Notification Letter (No.HED/A&R/MISC-1/15/2019/11) dated 17th August 2020 was established in the Year 1991 then affiliated to NEHU i.e., North Eastern Hill University in 1993. Ever since the setting up of Nagaland University, now the college come under its ambit. The Forum with its various goals and objectives and among one of which is to see the welfare of the students and the faculties and that College of Art and Technology would stand by its motto “Gateway to the World Service”. As per the UGC norms, the Campus is established 20 minutes drive from IG (Indira Gandhi Stadium) towards Wokha Town falling under National Highway 61 of Nagaland State. College of Arts and Technology, then MVCC campus site KOHIMA: Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio launched the new campus site of Mountain View Christian College (MVCC) at Nerhe Phezha as the Special Guest on July 2, 2019. State Minister for Higher and Technical Education, Temjen Imnaalong Longkumer was the honoured guest. The leader of the programme was the Chairman of Management Board, MVCC, Lithrongla T. Rutsa while the invocation was rendered by the pastor of Nerhema Baptist Church, Vilanyü Üsou and a brief history of the college was given by Member, EVF and Management Board, Dr. Kruolalie Tsürho. Short speeches was delivered by the Chairman of Nerhema Village Council, Deizolie Virie; President NAPO, Neiyalie Pfüsenuo and ADC Chiephobozou, Vekhoyi Chakhesang. A special number was performed by EVF member Neikhrie-o Üsou. The vote of thanks was rendered by EVF member, Er. Sobou Kerhüo and benediction by CRC Pezielietsie, Kohima, pastor Letuolie Pienyü, stated a release.
