                              In today’s times, where the learner and teacher both have to tackle the challenges of time and distance and ever changing demands to upgrade knowledge and skills, the learning and teaching both have become very dynamic. The role of the teacher is transformed into that of a virtual Educator which is much wider and constantly evolving than that of a teacher; and the role of a student post-pandemic is transfigured into one of an agile knowledge acquirer in a virtual world. The experience of lockdown has reflected upon the requirements to adapt the academic systems to cultivate sensibilities, unlock the mind for adaptability, train for meaningful learning and connect the minds for new understanding. The challenge is to maintain the continuity of teaching-learning, effective utilization of resources, management of anxiety level among the young minds, and nurturing their enthusiasm.

In addition I highlight the vibrant dynamics here before I wind up. In the beginning the College was known as MVCC, “MOUNTAIN VIEW CHRISTIAN COLLEGE” AFFILIATED TO NEHU (NORTH EAST HILL UNIVERSITY) in the year 1991, Then permanently got affiliated to NEHU i.e., NORTH EASTERN HILL UNIVERSITY  in 1993. For around 3 decades pioneers had stood the taste of time.From a very modest beginning, we have been able to carve a niche for ourselves selflessly for students generation in the realm of Higher Education and finally in the vision and mission for NEP2020 (National Educational Policy) The new National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 is set to replace the existing National Policy on Education which was first formulated in 1986 and last modified in 1992. The Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) will again be known as Ministry of Education that was last renamed as the HRD ministry in 1985, during the tenure of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi.
